Best Nfl Prop Bets Today

My first run at NFL player prop bets didn’t go as planned in week one. I had some picks that were very close, but overall, it was a swing and a miss.

Going into week two, things should balance out. If you want to bet on the NFL, but are a bit gun shy as to wagering on actual games, you can still profit from the league.

Betting on player stats is a great way to do that. With that, here’s a look at our week 2 NFL player props that you may want to target.

This one feels easy enough. Henry topped this mark after toting the rock 31 times in week one, and this time around he won’t be facing a solid Denver defense.

Instead, it’s a Jaguars run defense he’s routinely gashed throughout his career.

I mean, do you remember this?

Henry is a monster of a man, and he’s pointed out his slow starts to seasons in the past. With week one indicating his role and focus are where they need to be, the odds are good he dominates a Jags defense that gave up the third-most rushing yards in 2019.

Let’s double down on the Aaron Rodgers hype, shall we? A-Rod shocked everyone when he hung 364 yards on the Vikings in week one, but this week two matchup against Detroit is just as good.

Not only are the Lions starting a rookie cornerback these days, but he’s not even 100% healthy.

It’s true that Rodgers operates out of a system that promises to more than ever this year, but judging by week one, it’s still one that will allow him to air it out.

Detroit caved down the stretch and allowed Mitch Trubisky to abuse them, while this unit ended 2019 giving up the third-most passing yards to quarterbacks.

Rodgers doesn’t need to match his insane week one production. He just needs to take what the Lions give him and he’ll top this yardage total.

Mike Evans Over 6+ Receptions (+119)

Let’s seek out a bit more value this time. Evans was hampered by an injury in week one, and had a difficult matchup, but he still saw four targets.

A little healthier going into week two – and a better matchup against the Panthers – and logic suggests his role will expand.

Aiding that belief is the fact that fellow starting wide receiver Chris Godwin (concussion) is at risk of sitting this one out.

Evans is a beast that can haul in six grabs in his sleep. Godwin’s absence would make this a borderline lock, while Carolina’s defense (2nd most catches allowed to receivers in 2019), doesn’t pose a threat.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire Over 36+ Receiving Yards (+121)

CEH made his presence known in his NFL debut last week, as he toted the rock 25 times for 138 yards and a touchdown. Not bad for his first game ever, eh?

Despite the stellar first game, a lot of people scoffed at his non-existent role in the team’s passing game. For a guy with elite pass-catching chops in college, it was a bit shocking to see him register zero catches on just two targets.

But it’s just one game. And in this particular game, he simply wasn’t needed in that regard with the Chiefs playing with a lead the entire time.

Best Nfl Prop Bets

I don’t know if he’ll be needed like that much more in week two, but the odds are decent that Kansas City will make a point of getting him involved in that fashion.

Due to his time on the field and his ability to make magic happen with the ball in his hands, I think 36 receiving yards is a pretty tame expectation for a nice +121 price.

For my last bet, I’ll aim even higher, as I think Cam Newton is in for another strong rushing performance.

I doubt he comes close to the insane 15 rushing attempts he saw in week one, but that did show us that he and the Pats will do whatever it takes to win.

That’s a comforting thought for sports bettors, to be sure. It’s also comforting to recall that Seattle isn’t very good against running quarterbacks. In 2019, they allowed the fourth-most yards to quarterbacks on the ground, as well as three rushing scores.

Newton had 75 rushing yards in his Patriots debut, and it’s likely he’ll be needed again in a tough road game.

Prop

If you’re looking for some great week two NFL player prop bets, the five above should do the trick. Most of them are props I’d deem relatively safe, but all five offer solid-to-great value for bettors.

You can certainly get bolder than this. The pricing you see attached to these prop bets comes from BetOnline, and the nice thing is you can aim higher for a better payday with every single one.
